Introduction
Ideas: "reservation" and "occupation" in conference.
"Conference's reservation" applyes to following cases:
- Conference reservation for the dispatcher with the kClient console.A user of
the kClient software logged on "dispatcher" level can reserve one or two conferences
(depending on requirements). Conference reservation by the dispatcher lasts as long as
the dispatcher holds it. If the dispatcher loggs off, his conference will be free.
The mere starting and then stopping a conference isn't the same as a free conference
by logged off. If at a dispatcher's log-in time there are fewer conferences then he requires
the dispatcher will get only non-reserved conferences. If a dispatcher gets both conferences,
he will decide which conference works.
- Conference reservation by phone (command '7' in the conference menu).
The subscriber can reserve a conference for all his actions (entering predefined group,
entering any subscriber, entering himself etc.). Only one conference can be reserved by phone.
If both conferences are free, the first free conference is reserved. Subscribers needn't know
the number of the conference, because the commands: '4', '5', '6' and '7', '8' apply to a
previously reserved conference (only one conference can be reserved by phone). The conference
works until it is made free by the '8' command by phone or up to the temporisation noise time
in conference.
- Conference at the reservation for scheduling. If a scheduled record executes as
conference calling to a predefined group, the conference is reserved by schedule.
This conference works as long as the last subscriber is taking part in the conference or is called.
If there is no conference in the KKO in schedule record execute moment, KKO write adequate event
and "No conference for scgedule" alarm.
"Conference's occupation" is connected with the number of subscriber in conference.
There following rules are valid:
- LED diode shows conference status. This diode shines continuosly when a conference
is busy and though subscriber is in the active mode (speaking). If all subscribers are in the
passive mode, the led blinks. If last subscriber goes out of conference, the led switches off.
- Occupation and reservation. The conference can be occupied and reserved and at the
same time not busy. A subscriber can't enter a non-reserved conference himself.
Only the owner (subscriber or dispatcher) has the right to work in conference.
If a subsriber who enter into a conference directly by DTMF command '1','2' or '3'
(conference is free or busy but reserved) can enter independly who reserved it.
- The end of conference. The end of work in a conference for all subscribers isn't the same
as unreservation. Are are two ways to end of a conference by: a command from the kClienf software
or if all subscribers go out of conference. If conference works by schedule, both
occupation and reservation is switching off if the conference ends.

Graphic mode for conference calling.
- In 2.13 software conference calling in graphic mode was added.
You are able to load a picture as a canvas of conference window. It may be map of
factory, plan of a building etc in bitmap format (*.bmp) and next, to associate
some areas from the picture with some subscriber's group. After such association,
if you move the mouse over the picture, you will choice a conference and next
if you click such area, associated group will be called to the conference. This is the
same result as clicking the group button on the bottom conference window. In particular,
if you click the same area once again, the group will be excluded from the conference.
This graphic calling mode can be usefull if you work with some conference's groups
associated with some parts of the structure. In this case you can't remember which
group is associated with given part of the structure. You are able to switch off
graphic mode by clicking proper tool button and switch it on easy by single click.
All the data about size of areas, size of graphic and location of them on the window
is saved in the file (kClient.gf1 i kClient.gf2) automatically, separately for
each conference. There are tool buttons in the middle of the screen, between
conference window and database window. All these buttons make possible to set a graphic,
to establish group's areas and to edit them. The list of edit buttons is as a follow:
|
It loads a graphic file as a background of the conference window.
It runs open dialog and makes possible to load proper *.bmp file |
|
It switches on or off the graphic in background. If the graphic
is switched off, group selection in graphic mode won't working. |
|
It switches on/off stretching of the graphic in conference window.
If strech is on, the picture can be deformed and the proportions in the picture
can be lost. Default size of the conference window is: 450(width) x 442(height) pixels. |
|
It docks the picture in the conference window. Notice! If
the picture is undocked (open padlock symbol) graphic selection will be impossible! |
|
It opens color dialog and establish new area in the picture.
This area will be associated with the group in the future. |
|
Undo function. It restores previous dimension or localization for the
graphic or the area or restores erased area or all areas. It depends on last operation. |
|
It ends of editing the area and makes possible to assign the data
to the group. If given area is a new area (not associated) you will have to point
the group. If the area is allready associated with the group, this updating
will be automatically. |
|
It erases the area or all areas assigned into groups. |
Example for graphic mode.
